To Troubleshoot PS2 Wireless Guitar

To date various companies make a wireless guitar controller for Sony’s PlayStation 2 or PS2 wireless guitar that is designed to be used solely with the “Guitar Hero” and “Rock Band” games for that system. The PS2 wireless guitar setup is relatively straightforward, so if you are having any control issues with your guitar, you can troubleshoot the situation by making sure everything is set up and configured properly with your system.  Here shows the way in you guitar fans’ favor.

Instructions:

1. Make sure your wireless PlayStation 2 guitar controller has batteries. Standard controllers use the energy generated by the PlayStation 2 to power themselves. Because the guitar controller is wireless, it will need a few batteries, usually size AA, to operate. Check to ensure that they have not lost their charge.
2. Turn on your PS2 wireless guitar controller and make sure the small red light illuminates on the front of the guitar controller, indicating that the controller is on and the power is connected. (To conserve battery life — because the guitar controller uses power when on regardless of whether or not a game is being payed — users have the ability to turn it off when they aren’t playing a game.)
3. Check the control box for the PS2 wireless guitar controller and establish that it is plugged into the front of the PlayStation 2. This control box is used to allow the system and the controller to communicate with each other. If this control box is not plugged in, your guitar controller will not function even if it is switched on and has batteries.
4. Confirm that the control box is plugged into the “Player 1″ controller port on your Sony PlayStation 2, if you are only playing one player; if it is plugged into the “Player 2″ controller port, the wireless guitar controller will not function properly.
