Playstation 3 corrupt saved game data?

I am playing Fallout 3 on my Playstation 3 and I’m guessing that I am somewhere in the middle of the game. I quit the game and in about 5 hours I turn my PS3 back on to play it again but instead of my last saved location being loaded, it loads almost at the very beginning of the game, and my last saved location is nowhere to be found. I then check my “saved data utility” folder and it there is an icon that just says “corrupted data”. I select “information” and it says the originial name, which really is my last saved location.
Is there any way I can recover this saved data?
Why doesn’t it show any previouse locations?
Is there something wrong with my console?
(oh and just so you know, I didn’t turn off the console just as it was in the proccess of saving)

oh my gosh i had the same thing happen to me. u have to restart unfortunetly but u also have to delete every little bit of currupt data whether its a song or a picture it has to go or more curupt data will happen
