What are the best two player games ever on the sony playstation 2?

I want to buy a huge ammount of games for me and my mates to play.

Timesplitters 2 (shooting) was always a favourite with me and my mates.
Sportswise, probably the Pro Evolution Soccer games are your best bet.
Otherwise, the other good multiplayer games are Mashed (similae to Micro machines games of old), guitar hero I & II if you have the money…also good is Singstar (never had it meself so dont really know) but some people I know had it and said it was good for a boozy Friday evening after coming home from the pub…
